Denise is the founder of Youth Nation Yoga, located in Brewster, NY. She is also an educator with the Somers Central School District where she teaches English Language Arts. As a classroom teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels, she’s come to discover how stressed our children are these days. With the demands of school, extracurricular activities, friend & family obligations and the use of technology, kids need to learn more than ever how to slow down, take a breath and pause. As an educator, Denise's intention is to bring a yoga and mindfulness practice to as many children as possible, helping them to be the best version of themselves, one breath, one movement, one moment at a time. Denise is also a Liberation Prison Yoga teacher. She teaches trauma-conscious yoga and mindfulness classes to the women of Taconic Correctional Facility.
