Yoga and the Five Elements

Earth, water, fire, air, space. We are made of the 5 elements and we return to those elements when we die. How can we align ourselves with these elements to create more balance and harmony in our lives? In this alignment based vinyasa class, we will learn how to work with the elements within our asana practice to develop greater strength and stability, fluidity and ease, transformational heat, and freedom of our breath, ultimately connecting us both deeply within and simultaneously to the world around us. 

Students should bring/wear: Comfortable yoga clothes, Yoga Mat, Support Props if they have them (blocks / straps)

Students should expect: strong alignment based vinyasa (flow)/ Sanskrit chanting and names for poses (always translated)/ lots of hands on assists/ aromatherapy/ short meditation and always intention setting! Props are always good to have if possible.

Take this class if: you want an athletic, flowing, transformational class that weaves music, poetry, transformational asana, and intelligent alignment and sequencing into a magic carpet ride !
